Automechanika Shanghai (Shenzhen Edition)
Our partner, Daniel Berger, was invited to participate in a high profile automotive industry conference, automechanika Shanghai (Shenzhen Edition).
He was allowed to give 2 presentations there, about "Mobility: Game Changer of Automotive Aftermarket" and " Technology Innovations Shaping the Future Mobility".
The first presentation was about the enormous technical, as well as economic, challenges facing the global automotive industry - and the opportunities that are emerging.
Tough carbon emissions legislation will lead to fundamental change in the industry by 2040. But smart electric vehicle penetration rates will reach more than 60% of electric vehicles by 2025. To meet the challenges posed by
- the trends of electrification and
- of intelligence,
automotive aftermarket companies should look for suitable capacity building opportunities. This is the only way to take advantage of the opportunities presented by this change.
The second presentation was about China's battery technology, which is developing rapidly throughout the industry chain: Lithium-ion battery, solid electrolyte batteries and CTC are three major emerging trends in China with potential for use in RVs.
The global automotive industry is facing enormous technical and economic challenges, but also new opportunities.
