Fuel Cell Vehicles in the Shadow of Booming Electric Vehicles
2022 was rather disappointing for the global hydrogen vehicle market: with sales of only 19,000 units growth slowed down compared to previous years. Korea as leading market and China showed growth while US and Japan experienced drop in sales, Europe remained flat.
In clear contrast, sales of battery-powered vehicles reached around 8 mio. units in 2022 with China consolidating its dominating position as top global sales market.
