EAC at IFAT Delhi 2026: The Future of Decentralized Wastewater Treatment Industry

On April 22nd, EAC India Partner Ketan Jadhav contributed to the Plenary Session on Urban Water Security at IFAT Delhi 2026, sharing insights on India’s evolving decentralized wastewater treatment industry. His presentation highlighted the restructuring of the market with modular solutions below 2 MLD, the dominance of RCC systems, and the growing role of containerized and packaged plants.

With the upcoming Liquid Waste Management Rules 2024, decentralized sewage treatment plants (DSTPs) are poised to unlock opportunities worth ₹5,000 crore annually, potentially doubling by 2031. EAC’s analysis identified 459 proposed STP projects across 34 cities, underscoring the sector’s critical role in sustainable infrastructure planning and integrated urban water management.

EAC thanks Messe München for hosting a platform that fostered meaningful connections across water, waste, and sustainability. EAC invites industry leaders and stakeholders to join us in further discussions on shaping India’s wastewater future.

We look forward to continuing this dialogue and playing a key role at IFAT India, Mumbai from 9–11 September 2026.
