EAC’s Thought Leadership in the Global EV Dialogue

EAC International Consulting values the chance to showcase our industry knowledge at the MBC’s flagship EV documentary, now in its fifth year of exploring the electric vehicle revolution across Asia and the United States. Our colleague Addie’s participation as a China market observer highlights EAC’s commitment to providing nuanced, cross-border perspectives on the rapidly evolving mobility sector.

By sharing insights from both Chinese and international markets, Addie underscores the importance of understanding the consumer logic, strategic thinking, and global ambitions driving China’s EV industry. This approach reflects EAC’s core strength: delivering balanced, on-the-ground analysis shaped by decades of collaboration with OEMs worldwide.

Addie Wei shares:

𝗣𝗿𝗼𝘂𝗱 𝘁𝗼 𝗿𝗲𝗽𝗿𝗲𝘀𝗲𝗻𝘁 𝗖𝗵𝗶𝗻𝗮’𝘀 𝗘𝗩 𝘃𝗼𝗶𝗰𝗲 𝗶𝗻 𝗠𝗕𝗖’𝘀 𝗴𝗹𝗼𝗯𝗮𝗹 𝗱𝗼𝗰𝘂𝗺𝗲𝗻𝘁𝗮𝗿𝘆!
Recently, I was invited by 𝗞𝗼𝗿𝗲𝗮’𝘀 𝗠𝗕𝗖, one of the country’s top three broadcasters, to participate in their 𝗳𝗹𝗮𝗴𝘀𝗵𝗶𝗽 𝗘𝗩 𝗱𝗼𝗰𝘂𝗺𝗲𝗻𝘁𝗮𝗿𝘆 - a project now in its fifth year, spanning 𝗦𝗼𝘂𝘁𝗵𝗲𝗮𝘀𝘁 𝗔𝘀𝗶𝗮, 𝗖𝗲𝗻𝘁𝗿𝗮𝗹 𝗔𝘀𝗶𝗮, 𝗖𝗵𝗶𝗻𝗮, 𝗮𝗻𝗱 𝘁𝗵𝗲 𝗨.𝗦.
📍 𝗔𝘀 𝘁𝗵𝗲 𝗖𝗵𝗶𝗻𝗮 𝗺𝗮𝗿𝗸𝗲𝘁 𝗼𝗯𝘀𝗲𝗿𝘃𝗲𝗿, I was interviewed in Shanghai focused on:
🔹 What matters most to Chinese consumers when choosing EVs
🔹 How Chinese and international automakers differ in 𝘁𝗲𝗰𝗵𝗻𝗼𝗹𝗼𝗴𝘆 𝗰𝗵𝗼𝗶𝗰𝗲𝘀, 𝗴𝗹𝗼𝗯𝗮𝗹 𝗲𝘅𝗽𝗮𝗻𝘀𝗶𝗼𝗻, 𝗮𝗻𝗱 𝗹𝗼𝗰𝗮𝗹𝗶𝘇𝗮𝘁𝗶𝗼𝗻
🔹 The emerging role of Chinese EV brands in the global auto landscape
💡 I believe it’s essential that the world hears not just headlines about China’s EV rise — but also the deeper 𝗰𝗼𝗻𝘀𝘂𝗺𝗲𝗿 𝗹𝗼𝗴𝗶𝗰, 𝘀𝘁𝗿𝗮𝘁𝗲𝗴𝗶𝗰 𝘁𝗵𝗶𝗻𝗸𝗶𝗻𝗴, and 𝗴𝗹𝗼𝗯𝗮𝗹 𝗮𝗺𝗯𝗶𝘁𝗶𝗼𝗻𝘀 behind it.

That's why I’m grateful to have contributed insights from both a local and international lens, shaped by years of on-the-ground collaboration with OEMs.

🏛️ I shared these perspectives as part of EAC International Consulting, a global strategy firm with over 30 years in the mobility space.

We’ve worked with both 𝗳𝗼𝗿𝗲𝗶𝗴𝗻 𝗮𝘂𝘁𝗼𝗺𝗮𝗸𝗲𝗿𝘀 𝗼𝗽𝗲𝗿𝗮𝘁𝗶𝗻𝗴 𝗶𝗻 𝗖𝗵𝗶𝗻𝗮, and 𝗖𝗵𝗶𝗻𝗲𝘀𝗲 𝗯𝗿𝗮𝗻𝗱𝘀 𝗴𝗼𝗶𝗻𝗴 𝗴𝗹𝗼𝗯𝗮𝗹, allowing us to offer a 𝗯𝗮𝗹𝗮𝗻𝗰𝗲𝗱, 𝗰𝗿𝗼𝘀𝘀-𝗯𝗼𝗿𝗱𝗲𝗿 𝗽𝗼𝗶𝗻𝘁 𝗼𝗳 𝘃𝗶𝗲𝘄.

🎙️In parallel, EAC Partner, Daniel Berger, provided the 𝗘𝘂𝗿𝗼𝗽𝗲𝗮𝗻 𝗽𝗲𝗿𝘀𝗽𝗲𝗰𝘁𝗶𝘃𝗲, offering thoughtful comparisons on EV competitiveness and cooperation potential between East and West.

📺 The final documentary will air in 𝗔𝘂𝗴𝘂𝘀𝘁. I’m excited for audiences around the world to better understand China’s evolving role in the global EV era — not as a disruptor, but as a partner in innovation.

We look forward to the documentary’s August premiere and to continuing our role as a trusted advisor in the global mobility transition.
