Over the last few years, the centre of gravity of the global chemical industry has been moving more and more to Asia. From a regional perspective, this shift presents companies with enormous challenges in terms of the availability of raw materials and, in some cases, the under-developed applications industries and their growth. Before there can be an assessment of market opportunities and of the need for local product adaptations there has to be a thorough analysis of customer and competition dynamics.

EAC has many years of project experience in the chemical industry: from basic chemicals (organic/inorganic), petrochemical intermediates and derivatives (plastics, elastomers, fibres), speciality chemicals and performance chemicals to agro- and fine chemicals. On these projects EAC has supported its globally operating clients with, in particular, analyses of markets and application industries, specific competition benchmarking projects and the evaluation and implementation of M&A opportunities.
