After his Bachelor of Science Degree (Hons) in Mechanical/ Aeronautical Engineering at the University of Technology in Malaysia Mr. Quek started his career as Sales Engineer/ Product Specialist and Department Manager at ABB Industrial & Building Systems in Malaysia. He gained further experience as Asia Area Manager Pulp & Paper and Country Manager Malaysia, Thailand & Brunei and finally as Continental Control Product Leader Asia at General Electric USA (1994 – 1999). Mr. Quek received his MBA degree at the Royal Melbourne Institute of Technology (RMIT), Australia.

A steep career followed as Managing Director South East Asia for GE USA, Managing Director at Eaton Power Quality, CEO Linde China and since 2008 as President & CEO Kion Hongkong and later Member of the Executive Board & Chief Asia Pacific and the Americas Officer at Kion Group AG. Mr. Quek is also Advisory Board Member of Fujian JULI Motor Co., Ltd. China, board member of Shanghai Quicktron Intelligent Technology Co.Ltd. and board member of EP Equipment Co., Ltd.
