After studying in Mannheim, Würzburg and London (LSE), the doctor of economics was responsible for the strategic realignment of BASF in the sales department. This was followed by positions as Managing Director of Rheinmetall-Metallwerke Nürnberg, Robert Bosch AG Vienna and the assumption of the management of global sales and marketing of the Bosch Group. Dr. Wörner then spent 13 years as CEO of BSH Bosch und Siemens Haushaltsgeräte, leading the joint venture as "Lord of the White Goods" (WORLD) from a little export-oriented company with 19,000 employees to a global player with 37,000 employees in 2000.
Besides his work for EAC, he is also a member of the advisory boards of the Reverse Logistic Group (Munich, Boston) and Consileon Business Consulting GmbH (Karlsruhe, Washington).
