About Dr. Richard Zhang

Mr. Zhang received his diploma and Ph.D. degree in chemistry at the Technical University of Darmstadt and continued as at the University of Singapore as Research Fellow. Mr. Zhang joined Merck Pty. Australia for three years as Product Manager before he became Chief Representative and Country Manager for Merk China from 1995 – 2010. Mr. Zhang accompanied the merger President of Süd Chemie China the merger with Clariant 2011/2012 and was President of Heraeus in China from 2012 – 2017. Since 2018 Mr. Zhang is Managing Director of Pulcra Chemicals in China.
Mr. Zhang is also a member of Rotary International and was 2016 the winner of the Shanghai Municipal Government’s Magnolia Award. 2018 he published the book “Governance, Risk and Compliance Management in China” as author and co-editor.
