Dietmar Kusch, founder and partner of EAC, underlines the main reasons for opening this new office. With vast opportunities available, the Southeast Asian Markets (SEA) are emerging and are among the world’s fastest growing economies post-Covid. Driven by a population of over 680 million, increasing urbanization, a growing middle class, regional and global connectivity, digital innovations and open trade and investment environment the growth story is far from over.

EAC offers several years of pan-SEA consulting expertise and especially in markets such as Malaysia, Indonesia, Singapore, Thailand and Vietnam. As Malaysia being one of the most important trading partners for Germany, EAC decided for Kuala Lumpur as its regional hub.

EAC has grown steadily since its founding in Munich in 1992: the opening of the Shanghai office in 1995, the Mumbai office in 2006, and now Kuala Lumpur in 2023. The recipe for success behind it: "Detailed knowledge of local market requirements and a sense for implementable solutions."

With this 3rd office in the region, after Shanghai and Mumbai, EAC aims to further deepen its Asian service range across Strategy Consulting, M&A, Operational Efficiency and Sustainability.

The Kuala Lumpur office, situated right in the German Business Centre, is managed by Karl Godderis, who has more than two decades of regional consulting expertise and is supported by an expanding team of consultants with strong local understanding.
